The Annual General Meeting of the Grahamstown Woodworkers was held on Tuesday 14th February
in the Design & Technology Centre at St Andrew's College.
1. Welcome and apologies

This had been sent to members.
3. Financial Report
The financial report, which had been prepared by Chris Terry, had been circulated.
4. Election of Committee for 2017
The current committee was re-elected with the addition of Rodney Scheeopers and Esther mostert.
Luc Marechal and Mike Ludewig were not available for re-election.

6. The Festival Stall
Members wishing to take part met after the meeting.
7. General
At most meetings there will be a "FOR SALE" table for members to sell or swop tools
or bundles of wood. Please mark items with your name and the price.
Also at most meetings there will be opportunities for members to "Show & Tell",
or ask for advice on woodworking problems, or present "Workshop Tips".
Members who were not at the AGM are reminded that annual subscriptions remain at R70
and are payable (cash only!) to Chris Terry. Donations to the shared equipment fund
are also welcome.
The AGM was followed by four Show & Tell sessions:
John Murray showed a coffee table made from Baltic pine.

John Hepple showed mortice and tenon joints for table legs that he had made with
his Trend jig.
Wouter Holleman then described the making of a computer table of novel design.

modification of a 1930s vintage Union lathe.
