The May Woodwork meeting took place at the usual venue of the St Andrew's Design and Technology Centre. The topic of the evening was wood identification. Two members brought various pieces of wood which members could identify in a quiz. And another member bought a wide range of woods for members to have a look at. The evening was very interactive and allowed for a lot of discussion. At the start of the evening a short clip was shown of an American David Roy, who makes interesting kinetic sculptures. One of our members also gave a short presentation about the treehouse deck he built for his grandson in Johannesburg.
